On Sunday, August 6, they defeated Manchester City to claim victory.
The first half of the game, which took place at Wembley Stadium, ended in a scoreless tie.
After 77 minutes of play, Cole Palmer of Manchester City broke the scoreless tie. With his left foot from the edge of the box, he curved the ball into the top corner.
After the 90 minutes were up, eight more minutes were declared.
After a corner, City failed to clear their lines, allowing Arsenal to reenter the game. After Manuel Akanji deflected a shot from Leandro Trossard, the ball found its way into the goal.
At 90 minutes and 11 seconds, Mikel Arteta's team scored the crucial equalizer.
Due to the 1-1 score, the game had to go to penalty shootouts.
Following their 4-1 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield 2023, Arsenal was declared the winner.
