According to manager Ruben Amorim, Manchester United must sell players before they can buy any this summer. 

Despite only signing Patrick Dorgu in January, the club's financial situation is precarious, with significant losses over the past few years. This has led to cost-cutting measures, including potential redundancies and office closures, as well as attempts to renegotiate sponsorships. 

Amorim stated that player sales are essential for funding new signings, emphasizing the immediate need to focus on winning games. While some players are expected to depart due to expiring contracts and loan arrangements, the future of high-earners like Casemiro and Marcus Rashford remains uncertain. 

There are also concerns that promising young players could be sold to comply with financial regulations. United's problems aren't limited to transfers; several players have performed better after leaving the club. 

Amorim acknowledged the immense pressure at United and the need for a stronger foundation. 

The club is investing in youth development to generate income from future player sales, with one promising youngster, Chido Obi, recently training with the first team. 

Finally, Amorim addressed comparisons with Tottenham, acknowledging his admiration for their manager but asserting that his own club is larger.
