MOHAMMED SALAH: Salah of Liverpool insists that winning the Ballon d'Or is not his main goal.

Mohamed Salah maintains that securing the Ballon d'Or is not his primary objective, though he did articulate his ultimate ambitions for Liverpool this season.

Having amassed an impressive 37 goal contributions in 26 appearances across all competitions this season, the 32-year-old has prompted speculation regarding his potential to win the 2025 Ballon d'Or.

However, the Egyptian international has minimized such discourse, stating his primary ambition is for Liverpool to achieve maximum silverware this term. In an interview with Sky Sports, when questioned about a potential Ballon d'Or victory, he affirmed that his sole focus since the season's commencement has been contributing to Liverpool's league triumph, pledging his utmost efforts to securing trophies for the team.

He acknowledged the competitive landscape, recognizing the presence of formidable rival teams, and emphasized the necessity for continued focus, humility, and diligent work.

Despite being on track for his most prolific season at Liverpool, with his contract expiring next summer, Salah has indicated that contract extension negotiations are at an early stage.

Nevertheless, while he remains at the club, Liverpool currently leads the Premier League, maintains a strong position in the Champions League, and remains competitive in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Salah aims to maintain his exceptional form when Liverpool hosts Manchester United on January 5 in a Premier League fixture. 1
